Democracy, booooo
I'm not the most political person around, but the Stephen Colbert presidential candidacy announcement got everybody's attention, including mine. Sure, Colbert running for POTUS is a joke. We all know that. Him AS POTUS would be an even bigger joke. To be honest, I don't like the idea of Colbert taking away votes from Barack Obama, either. So knowing he's not on the ballot is, technically, good in my world.
Except I hate how it was done.

This is democracy? This is how we want our country to be run? Why is it that the Democratic Party shoots itself in the foot any chance they get? The whole point is that we should be allowed to vote for whomever we wish, especially if they say they want office. What kind of message does this send?
American Democracy: Where you can be in charge, but only if you're a part of a really big club.
